Mukaila OJELADE

Nigerian, international development economist with almost 40 years professional and managerial experience including 29 years with multilateral financial institutions, of which 26 were with the African Development Bank (ADB). Core areas of experience in development financing include project/program development and implementation, portfolio management, monitoring and evaluation and policy dialogue; with competences in economic analysis, planning and research, and Board corporate secretarial function. He was involved in institutional initiatives in strategic planning, aid coordination, and policy work, and evaluation of major institutional policies and procedures. Provided strategic direction and policy advisory guidance on Integrated Project Management covering the entire spectrum of policy project development, implementation, management of country portfolio and monitoring and evaluation. Led several operational/programming missions for projects/programs, policy based operations and institutional support projects, and for Country Strategy and Policy Dialogue. Participated in work of the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) Team, led by Prof. Adebayo Adedeji, that visited Uganda in 2007. Represented the ADB on the Boards of African Regional Financial Institutions namely PTA Bank, EADB, and Africa-Reinsurance Corporation. Was ADB focal point for OECD-DAC Core Group Task Team on Rationalizing Aid Delivery and fostering complementarily.
